A Life Lesson

We were in the bank and needed a penny to make a transaction work out without a handful of change.  Neither of us had the needed penny.  A gentleman at the next teller reached over and handed us a penny and we completed our business.  As we were leaving we thanked him and wished him a prosperous new year.  He thanked us and told us that he has been out of work and hoped the new year brought him a job.

WOW!  I was stunned.  A penny wasn’t going to make or break either of us.  But it has to mean more to a person without income.  But he gave it freely and with a smile.  What a lesson!

I believe that the Universe fills vacuums.  It is my fervent wish that his kind act creates a large vacuum of prosperity for this person that the Universe fills to overflowing.
